Slony Sow began his carreer with sport, dancing and music. He becomes a director after a few years of acting, in theater or in many tv movies. He develops in his movies serious themes treated with lightness. The main theme he treats in his short films is love, the lost love (L’homme de la boite), the desired love (Confesse) or the destructive love (Peripherique blues).
