DIRECTORS ACROSS BORDERS co-production forum was open today at Tekeyan Center in Yerevan. The festival agenda later continued in the morning with the three press conferences which first presented the special programme of RUSSIAN FILM DAYS initiated in cooperation with the Ministry of RD and the producing company “Kinofest”. Vladimir Alenikov, Natalya Merkulova, Aleksey Chupov, Dmitriy Vorobyov, Aleksey Fedorchenko- directors and producers of some of the films presented in the programme, as well as Viktor Krivopuskov, the head of Rossotrudnichestvo representatives in Armenia and Sergey Bragin- the head of “Kinofest” producing company were the speakers of the conferences. The programme was launched later in the afternoon with the screening of “Before the Night Separates Us”, a film by Boris Khlebnikov.

The distinguished German director- Margarette von Trotta also held a press conference where she presented het newly released “Hanna Arendt” film which later had its Yerevan Premiere. The director was granted with a Parajanov Thaler Award at the soiree. Von Trotta also held a master class today in Yerevan for everyone interested.

Jessica Woodworth and Maciej Adamek- the authors of “The Fifth Season” and “The Photograph”, films from the International Feature Competition were presented at a press conferences too.  \

One of the significant events of the day was the Jubilee Soiree dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of Nerses Hovhannissyan where renowned art critic Henrik Hovhannissyan delivered a speech. 

The Retrospective programme of distinguished Georgian director Rezo Chkheidze was open.

The 110th Anniversary of Aram Khachaturian was celebrated at the museum of the composer.

One of the essential events of the day was the opening of the CIS Film Programme which was held in Gyumri this year.
