Marc Brummund

Marc Brummund (born 1970, Diepholz, Lower Saxony, Germany)

Studied psychology and journalism at the University of Hamburg as well as documentary film at ZELIG school for TV and film in Bolzano, Italy. Since 1999 director of numerous  advertising  films in 12 nations with  awards in Cannes, Riga, Lisbon and Kiev. Since 2002 regular jury and lecturer jobs. 2004-06 Master Class in film directing at Hamburg Media School. The more than 50 international awards, include Berlinale, German Short Film Award, „Next Generation“Cannes, First Steps Award, Studio Hamburg Young Professionals  Award  and a nomination for the Student Oscar. Heim, Kühe Schubsen and Land Gewinnen have been selected as one of the best 100 short films of their year by AG Kurzfilm & German Films. Sanctuary is Brummund's first fiction in feature-film length film.
