Day 6

The fifth day of the festival was full of debuts.

German director Alexander Nanau presented his “Toto and his sisters”. Later the journalist  had the opportunity to ask their questions to Russian  actor and  director  Sergei Puskepalis, who was awarded the  “Silver Bear” for  acting  in  the Berlin International Film Festival. Now he is participating in the feature  competition of the  Golden Apricot International Film Festival with his directorial debut  Clinch.

Faruk Hacihafizoglu  ha made his directorial debut for a feature length film with his Snow Pirates.

There was also a press conference with the founder of the GOLDEN APRICOT and director Harutyun Khachatryan. Afterwards Harutyun Khachatryan’s film “White Town” was screened. Speeches were made by Rouben Gevorgyants (President of the Union of Cinematographers), Ralph Yirikyan (General manager of VivaCell-MTS), David Muradyan (The Film Academy President), Narek Tovmasyan (Program manager of the British Council Armenia), Nino Kukhalashvili (Director of Georgian film center), Araqsya Khachatryan (Head of public department of “Ararat” cognac factory), Osman Kavala (Head of Anadolu Kültür), Kiril Razlogov (Film critic, Moscow IFF program director), Rob Nilsson (Independent film director), Fridrik Thor Fridriksson (film director), Krzysztof Zanussi (film director).

During the "TALK TO GAIFF" program there was a meeting with director Vahram Mkhitaryan at Tumo center for creative technologies.

After  at Poghosyan Gardens there were screenings  of  films “Sandwich island man” by Levon Minasyan  and  “The Shepherd's Song” by Vahram Mkhitaryan.

  The day ended with a midnight discussion at The Club.
