GOLDEN APRICOT IFF: Day two

The second day of the 13TH GOLDEN APRICOT IFF was full of events. The day started with the usual press conferences: the speakers Davit Safaryan (28:94 local time, Armenian Panorama National Competition), and International Documentary Competition participants Mohamed Ouzine (Samir in the Dust), Gunnar Bergdahl (Tracks) and Feature competition participant Pieter-Jan De Pue answered the questions of journalists.
One of the key events of the day was the now traditional press cocktail։ The management of GOLDEN APRICOT IFF expressed its gratitude with an award to its long lasting partner “ROYAL TULIP GRAND HOTEL YEREVAN”.
The Armenia-Turkey Cinema Platform had its opening. Speeches were made by Susanna Harutyunyan, artistic director of GOLDEN APRICOT IFF, Cigdem Mater (Anadolu Kültür). All the guests had a short introduction. Epistemic Space by Chantal Partamian was screened.
Later the ARMENIAN CINEMA: MODERN TIMES program, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, officially opened. The film A Story of People in War and Peaceby Vardan Hovhannisyanwas screened.
With the screening of 24 Weeks by Anne Zohra Berrached GERMAN FILM DAY was celebrated.
Director and cinematographer Fred Kelemen held a meeting/master class at the AGBU center (Germany/Hungary).
On the occasion of the 10th year anniversary of cooperation between SHARM HOLDING and GOLDEN APRICOS IFF, the ROOOTS by Vahe Yan was screened at Moscow Cinema.
In frames of YEREVAN PREMIERS Under the SunbyVitalyManskyand Honeyless Moon by Dmitri Izmestiev were screened. And in TUMO center for creative technologies Aram Shahbazyan’s Moskvich, My Love was screened.
Also within the program TALK TO GAIFF a meeting was held with renowned actor Homayoun Ershadi (Iran).
With the screening of Fate Fred Kelemen’sretrospective program was opened. Later open air screenings continued in Bogosyan Gardens:  Romeo and Juliet by Franco Zeffirelli was screened.
The second day of the festival was wraped up at a midnight meeting at The Club.
