Synopsis
We Ate the Children Last is a sweeping and apocalyptic tale of medical misadventure based on the short story of the same name by Booker Prize-winning author Yann Martel. Researchers discover a radical cure for digestive tract illnesses while transplanting pig organs into the human body. Medical miracle soon morphs into popular phenomenon as patients bare their scars for all to see, but society may not be prepared for consequences more chilling and irreversible than a fleeting fad.
