GOLDEN APRICOT 6th day started with Round-table on “In Tarkovsky’s Mirror”: the general cultural life and individual world” in the frames of “CIS films program” supported by Interstate Fund of Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS Countries.

The morning press conferences presented the “Living” by Vassily Sigarev, and documentaries “With Fidel Whatever Happens” by Goran Radovanovic, “Recycling Life - I Found Dostoyevsky in the Garbage” by Enis Riza, “The Tundra Book. A Tale of Vukvukai, the Little Rock” by Aleksei Vakhrushev, Back to the Square by Petr Lom and “Venice Afloat” by Tatiana Danilyants.

Meeting with Alexander Sokurov took place on the second part. Another highly important event was the ceremony of granting of Gold Medals of the Ministry of Culture of RA to the three honorary guests of this year Festival- Eldar Shengelaya, Vadim Abdrashitov and Janusz Gazda. In particular, Eldar Shengelaya was granted the for the great contribution in the developments of Armenian-Georgian cultural cooperation in the field of cinema, Janusz Gazda was granted for the great contribution in the developments of Armenian-Polish cultural cooperation in the field of cinema, Vadim Abdrashitov was granted for the great contribution in the developments of world cinema.

Tribute program was held dedicated to Frunze Dovlatyan with the screening of his “Delivery”. Another essential event of the day was the summarizing of the program “Apricot Stone” and the Jury members and the participants presented their ideas and impressions. The results of the competition though will be declared only at the Closing Ceremony of the Festival.

The evening screenings included the Yerevan Premieres of “In Darkness” by Agnieszhka Holland and “Time of Dancer” by Vadim Abdrashitov. The latter was granted the award “Master” by the GOLDEN APRICOT. Mr. Albert Mkrtchyan was invited on stage to present the award.
