Olaf Saumer

Olaf Saumer (born 1976, Kassel, Germany)
After having successfully completed an apprenticeship in a company and after having taken a degree in administration and economics he went on to study film directing at the Department of Visual Communication at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. His first short, called Silent Waters, is a dreamy musical comedy. Saumer's another short film Little Annabelle was widely acclaimed within the German film community resulting in a successful festival run. In all of his films so far, Olaf Saumer was, aside from directing, also responsible for writing, producing, and editing. His thesis film Suicide Club is his first feature length film.
