Synopsis
In the summer of 1967, Paweł, Piotr, Szymek and Elka, 12-year-old leads in the film, live through the most extraordinary days of their lives. They meet a fascinating boy, gifted with unusual imagination, and full of mystery. He is David Weiser, a Jewish boy. Weiser is planning something extraordinary. At the last stage of preparation, however, an explosion occurs, which everybody considers an accident. As a result Weiser disappears. To the principal participants of the events this becomes their lifelong puzzle, cause of incomprehensible fears, and nightmares.
It is now the year 2000. Thirty years after the tragic and still inexplicable event, the male lead, Paweł Heller, along with his girlfriend Juliana, comes back to Poland from Germany, to the town of his childhood in Silesia. The seemingly forgotten past, however, returns with a magically forceful vengeance.
